ABOUT THIS SITE

Welcome to my genealogy site. Genealogy has been my main hobby for the last nine years. I have a lot of information, documentation, and photos that I've not entered here yet. To jump in, click on the link, "Surnames", in the left column. Click on "See all surnames", to see if a name you're researching might be here.

Some of my information is documented thoroughly and some is not. I consider this to be a work-in-progress and nothing, unless proof is offered, should be taken without validating the information yourself. Much of the information that has no source information has either come from our own personal family information or from census records. I will construct families from census records when it seems clear that the family is the right one.

ABOUT THE PHOTOS AT THE TOP

The first photo on the left is Albertus, Carrie (Burton), and Robert Lucky Van Hoesen; second, my six children in the Hatch Hill Cemetery in Whitehall, New York where Solomon, Aner, and son Solomon Rogers are buried; third, this is from a tintype and I believe is Fred Olson; fourth, Mt. Pisgah Church where George and Rebecca (Godwin) Devolt are buried; fifth, Hugh Finley Lucky Burton; sixth, Fred Olson in Dahoga, Pennsylvania; seventh, Ira and Elizabeth (Overbeck) Lee. The oval photo on the right is a blown-up portion of the first photo of Carrie Burton Van Hoesen. Thanks to Pat Strot, Lucretia Crowell descendant, for the scans of the Burton family.
